More than 450 people have sued the Archdiocese of Baltimore over sexual abuse claims ahead of the deadline, according to The Baltimore Banner.
The final day survivors can file a lawsuit against the church is Friday, May 31.
Survivors have until Friday to file a proof of claim, or an Official Form 410. People can but do not have to submit a sexual abuse claim supplement by that date, according to the Banner.
"It's important that you fill it out and get it in the queue," Paul Jan Zdunek, chair of the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors, which represents the interests of survivors in the case, told the Banner. "You can always go back to amend it."
The Child Victims Law, which went into effect in October 2022, eliminated the statute of limitations, just after the archdiocese filed for bankruptcy.
The Maryland Attorney General's Office released a 450-page report last year that identified 156 priests, deacons, Catholic teachers and seminarians within the Archdiocese accused of assaulting over 600 victims. The incidents detailed in the report date back to the 1940s.
Eight survivors opened up recently about the sexual abuse they endured at the hands of Catholic clergy during an emotional hearing in the Archdiocese of Baltimore's bankruptcy case.

The Law
UK law states that if a publication or claim is being made as a warning to the general public to warn of patterns of abuse and misconduct then the libel claim will not stand.
It is our belief that if a perpertrator refuses the opportunity to "Right The Wrong" after several appeals are made to do so, then they intend to repeat and inflict the same behaviour on another.

Following a report about former Pastors Jaimie and Sarah Garande, formerly part of El-Shaddai International Christian Centre, claims by former church members are emerging that Jaimie and Sarah Garande were known for cornering young females after Church to pray over them that God would be their husband and touch them sexually.
The females that have come forward have all said that they have been plagued by unexplained sexual attacks and occurrences following these prayers.
The Challengers Claim

"Jaimie and Nyarai Garande were senior Pastors at El-Shaddai International Christian Centre and were being groomed to be the Pastors of the El-Shaddai International Cardiff branch."
One Sunday at the end of the morning service, the founding pastor Ramson Mumba told the congregation that if anyone wanted prayer they should come down.
All the Senior Pastors then lined up at the front and we all waited in line for the next available Pastor.
All fine, nothing untoward here, this is normal practice.
My turn came and the next available Pastors were Jaimie and Narai Garande.
They put their hands on my hands and started to pray in the Holy Sprit (that is the religious prayer know as speaking in tongues)
By the time I looked up everyone had left. The entire auditorium had emptied out. They were still praying.
This would have been seen by many people because imagine how many people would have come down for prayers - they are now all gone.
An Indecent Prayer
Jaimie then broke away and stood afar and then Narai Garande
led me into a corner prayed for another 30 minutes and as she did she massaged her left breast and said this:
"God will be your husband and touch you where no man has touched you before."
My life changed from that minute and I was harassed and plagued by what the Church calls "sexual husband spirits or Incubus demons"
It turns out I am not the only one.
I Have A Witness
I saw the lady when I was leaving the auditorium after the prayer and she saw me.
The way she looked at me I knew she had heard every word.
After that I saw her a few times and she would always look away embarrassed.
When I tracked her down recently, she confirmed she had heard what Narai Garande and said and that s why she left El- Shaddai. She told me "It troubled me, the way she led you to the corner and what she said. I think about it all the time"
Contacting the Garande's
I contacted Nyarai Garande in 2017 to seek her help and for her to undo the prayer.
She ignored me and to this day has refused to respond
In January 2024 I contacted their Wellbeing Life Coaching company www.mydestiny.org three times by email demanding that they take responsibility for what they have done and the damage it has caused.
Garande's Make a Claim of Harassment
Following my email to the Garande's business one in January, another time in the first week of February and at the end of February, Jaimie Garande filed a report of harassment and made the following false claims to incite and arrest no doubt:
"I threatened to come down to his house and harm his child"
These two promote themselves as honest and trustworthy public people to various communities but they are liars who abused their position back then In El-shaddai and who abuse their position to lie to the Board members at Feed The Hungry and the Police because they think I am a "nobody" and thus hold no power or influence.
We all know the Police are easily bought and gullible to people in power and they have played into this, heavily
They are Sinners and they need to be reported.
The World Needs To Know
Jaimie and Narai Garande's behaviour has been appaling.
They call themselves Christians but when they have been asked by a lesser person in stature and position who was in their pastoral care to make right their wrongdoing, to this day cannot even muster up the decency to respond to my messages with empathy and an apology.
Instead, they have contacted the Police to claim harassment which means I could face an arrest and 6 months imprisonment for emailing three times to undo their wrong.

This is their nature
There is no decency, morals, integrity or honesty but only abuse and abuse of power over anyone they deem vulnerable, alone, isolated, or that is female.
My words will be backed up by the actions of many Christians involved in this. I predict that over the next coming weeks you will see them all lie, and make up false accusations to avoid being caught.

Two months ago I went to Kings Liverpool church for a walk - in pastoral guidance with the Campus Pastor Judah Cole.
It was a walk in, so it was unplanned.
In the meeting, I advised that following a sexual misconduct incident at Church i had chosen to leave Christianity.
The issue was I had then been advised by another Pastor that if I left God, bad things would happen to me, including rape and I would be harmed.
Because I have been warned that Pastors are notoriously dishonest and prone to religious abuse in matters like this I record the meeting.
Judah Cole did not disappoint.

On the audio recording Judah Cole can be heard asking a female to join us and sit in the meeting without asking me if I was fine to share my accounts with her.
He did this without taking consent. He didn't even provide an introduction or tell me her name, but he gave her my name.
I have since been told by Leah Day solicitors that this is religious abuse.
When I challenged her interruptions Judah Cole advised I was being disrespectful because she was a senior pastor over him and threatened that if I didn't stop challenging her, he could ask me to leave or call the police.
He then advised that this person had every right to be in this meeting.
(I reiterate again that she was asked to join us without my consent)
My request was clear.
I had left Christianity but had been told by some other Pastors that I wasn't allowed to leave God and bad things would happen to me if I did.
He said he would not be able to help with this, but instead said that third party organisations Reach and LL who offer psychological counselling would be able to help with this.
Reach and LL do not offer counselling do not offer this or help with this.
I was very clear:
I presented and articulated seven Bible statements in the Bible that were clear solutions to my issue and showed that this was a matter for a Pastor not a psychologist.
He refused to and so did this stranger woman.
Even though I said I no longer wanted to be a Christian;
He continued to refer to me as God's daughter more than once. I told him repeatedly I want no further interest in or being a follower of Christ.
He used religious abusive statements as follows:
"As you have no interest in following Christ, we will pray what we want to pray, what we feel God wants us to pray, and not what you want us to pray.
I reminded him that in the Bible Christ healed and prayed for people and did not demand they follow Him.
I reminded Him of my free will.
I advised that these were your human rules and Church politics and that praying for people was and is your job regardless of who they are.
He and the strange woman continued your religious abuse and prayed for the "Holy Spirit to enter me and fill me."
Without my consent.
Even after I stated very clearly that I want nothing more to do with God.
I advised that I didn't want that, Judah Cole shrugged dismissively and said "Well that's up to you."
I asked him to recount that prayer and he refused.
This prayer made me extremely anxious and upset.
I had to demand again that he recount the prayer.
After the meeting, I wrote to Judah Cole requesting the details of the "so called senior pastor over him" as I had been forced to share my personal and highly sensitive matters with her.
The Church has not responded.
I sent a second reminder, also reminding them that my data request by law, needed to responded to within 30 days.
Judah Cole and Kings Church have failed to respond.
I have now reported the Church to the ICO.
This is a perfect example of Christians thinking they are above the law. The blatant disregard for the law that I have witnessed from Christians will shock you.
Most people when they hear this story will tell you vehemently: God is love, that's not how God behaves
I disagree.
I thoroughly believe that as God does, so His followers do.
God is a blaggard and the father of blaggards.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the message that needs to be preached.

I am sharing my experience at a church where there was a financial misconduct incident. Rather than reporting it to the local authorities, the financial misconduct or “indiscretion” as it was described was handled internally and with very little transparency. Perhaps the leaders at the time felt like it was the proper way to handle the misconduct at the time. Maybe they would handle things differently now.
For a more complete introduction, please read the prior post.
It saddens me to share this information. However, I feel like we have reached a season of time in our society and in the larger Christian community where these concerns might be heard, a fruitful discussion can be had from this incident, and unnecessary suffering can be prevented in another faith setting.
On top of this, I have concerns outside of the church.
My experience sharing the misconduct with the local police was difficult. It is difficult to confront criminal misconduct in faith settings when it is hard to get law enforcement to listen to concerned citizens.
First, I am going to share the timeline of events from the disclosure of the misconduct until the present time. I will include my experiences at the church and my attempts at reporting the incidents to the local police. Following the timeline of events, I will share some final thoughts.
Announcement of Fund Misappropriation
On September 9, 2012, my family went to church at Clearview Baptist Church in Franklin, TN, like any other Sunday. Unlike a normal Sunday, there was an announcement in the services that the Associate Pastor John Duval was found misusing church funds. From what I recall, it had been going on an unknown period of time.
This activity was discovered by another staff person who had noticed a pattern of unauthorized transactions from a “pot of money separate from the general budget” and reported it.
The staff began monitoring the transactions as they continued, and John was confronted. He offered a confession to the church and resigned.
There was a confidentiality agreement both for him and Clearview’s former Senior Pastor Mark Marshall. From what I understand, the church would be continuing to pay John his salary for a period of time and would be paying for his counseling.
There was an evening meeting for those seeking more information.
I was sitting in the service a little shocked about what I was hearing. I was pretty confused about the disclosure as it was very unclear the scope and extent of the misconduct.
I thought back to the Wednesday night before the disclosure. I remember Mark Marshall announcing that a Financial Peace class was offered that semester and “some people really need it”. I wondered if he was thinking about John Duval with that remark. Also, Mark preached on the parable of the unmerciful servant that evening.
During the evening meeting, there was a short Q &A. Attorneys Nick Tidwell and Allison Bussell were up front along with Mark Marshall and ordained lay leaders Micah Carter and Jed Coppenger. In this meeting, Mark shared that there was a two-way confidentiality agreement.
So, there was information he could not share about John and there was also information that could not be shared about him.
Mark was adamant during the meeting that “this cannot get out into the media”. I was really bothered by his statement and with the confidentiality agreement.
For one, we felt there was an ongoing lack of transparency (a lot of changes in the church with little input or explanation). Secondly, though we knew what John had misused church funds as he had confessed, we wondered why there were two sides to the confidentiality agreement.
What was the information that John had about Mark? Thirdly, it was the end of a giving campaign in which members were asked to give one week’s salary in order to pay down debt.
The campaign started a year prior with the encouragement to take one year saving and then collectively bring in the money on September 16, 2012. I wondered if and how the information would be transferred to those who missed that Sunday service in which John resigned (I don’t think it ever was officially). The end of the giving campaign was the next week.

This is what I was asked by a Vineyard pastor after disclosing that I had been sexually assaulted at the age of 16 in another Vineyard church. My body recoiled. I didn’t want to forgive my perpetrator, he had never even apologized to me.
I told her I wasn’t ready, it had only been 3 years. She said that I wouldn’t be free until I forgave him. I felt dizzy. Memories of the weeks and months following the assault came back to me in waves.
My youth leader asking me if I wanted what happened. Being compelled to attend a purity talk only 2 weeks later. Days that were blurred by flashbacks. The lead pastor screaming at my father after his plea for accountability.
I didn’t know how to move on from the unresolved experience of being sexually assaulted and how it was severely mishandled. I didn’t understand why I had the responsibility of absolving them of the wrongdoing they had never acknowledged or apologized for.
These were some of the many experiences on a long road that ultimately led to me sharing my story publicly, thus launching an independent investigation into my sexual assault and the church’s response. I will be sharing my story and parts of the investigative report that I received in late October. I was sickened by the way pastors handled these events.
Although I lived through many of the incidents described, learning what happened behind the scenes was painful. Anger and sadness filled my body reading the words of others about me, tears stung my eyes. I have sat with countless survivors when they hear for the first time that their perpetrator denied what happened.
Emotions range from gut-wrenching sadness, to infuriation, or numbness. Nothing could prepare me to read my own report. Some parts read like a bad script or a skit. It was alarming to read a narrative so far from the truth, not only about me but about my family.
The pastors even went so far as to say my own parents said that sexual assault is “regular kid behavior,” or that we would be laughed out of a police station for reporting because the assault wasn’t the “true abuse.”

"I was fourteen when our family first met Toyin and her family.
She was a little bit older than me, but we instantly clicked and became good friends for a long time.
When her boyfriend Kristian Lythe proposed, she asked me to be her bridesmaid.
Of course being a newly-wed we stopped seeing each other as much and I remember the last time I saw her was one evening in London when we met up for dinner near Westfield.
I didn’t see her again and as her life went from strength to strength in Church my life seemed to deteriorate.
I was a Christian like Toyin and passionate about God, but for some reason my Christianity seemed with one problem after another which baffled everyone.
Even Toyin would often say:
“I don’t know why these things keep happening to you.”
I didn’t know either, but one thing for sure was I was becoming weary with God. I remember my life being much more fun and positive before Christianity.
Things got bad to worse and I became homeless, even though I had sowed. thousands of money into our Church. Shocking my Church didn’t help and that's when I saw Christians for who they really were:
Unapologetically hateful.
And my theory was about to be confirmed.
One night extremely cold night, not eaten for weeks, homeless and knowing that this could no longer continue, I took a chance and went to Hammersmith Hospital in London, to see if my long- time friend Toyin was working and to ask if I could sleep on her couch for a month so I could get a job and get out of this situation.
And this is what Toyin now Toyin Lythe, Evangelist Advisor at Capstone Church did:
When she came to the Reception, she wasn’t exactly warm and welcoming.
I pressed on anyway and told her my situation and asked if she would let me stay with her and her husband for a month which would allow me to get a job.
I think she told me she was ending her shift in a few minutes and then we would be able to talk.
A few minutes turned into 30 minutes and as I was wondering what if she had forgotten about me, Kristian Lythe her husband arrived at the Reception.
I was sitting on one of the chairs in the lobby and he simply glanced at me and went and stood on the other side against the wall and did not look at me again and fixed his eyes on his phone.
This was the first time I had seen him since his wedding. I guess he forgot I was his wife’s bridesmaid
A few minutes later Toyin came out and without glancing at me they both walked passed me and out of the Hospital.
I guess she forgot I had once been her bridesmaid.
I would like to say that when this happened Kristian and Toyin Lythe were the head of ministries for the homeless at Kensington Temple.
But in secret when no one was watching them to give them praise and accolades they couldn’t even be bothered to look out for a friend who was homeless.
The hypocrisy of this pair continues to astound me.
A few years later I sent Toyin an email about a sexual offence incident that happened at my Church and asked for her help several times.
She ignored my emails and has refused to respond to any of them. To date.
After that I found myself at a KICC Conference and without warning the evangelist started to talk to me about Toyin and Kristian Lythe.
He had never met me before and I had never met him.
But he told me this:
“They thought no one saw, but God saw them.”
“This is what God says will be their end: They will not enter into Gods rest.” He told me.
And to my surprise he pulled out his Bible and in front of the whole congregation read this from the Bible.
Matthew 25 41 -46
40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,[c] you were doing it to me!’
41 “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.[d] 42 For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. 43 I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’
44 “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’
45 “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’
46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”
So if that’s their end I seek no further reconciliation with the pair."

A former church official who defrauded the Diocese of London, part of the Church of England, out of more £5 million has been jailed today.
Martin James Sargeant, 52, was sentenced to five years imprisonment at Southwark Crown Court for an offence of fraud by abuse of his position.
Sargeant was employed as an Operations Manager within the Diocese of London and was separately engaged by some parishes as an administrator. His role included assisting individual city churches as required and distributing funds. He was in the Operations Manager role from June 2009 to 2019.
The CPS and the Metropolitan police established that Sargeant used his position to divert money out of a Church of England charity, which had been set up to fund the restoration of religious buildings.
During the 11 years between 2009 and 2019 Sargeant defrauded £5,211,009.22 in total, transferring this money into his personal bank accounts or siphoning funds through cheque payments, debit card transactions or cash withdrawals.
Giorgina Venturella of the CPS said: “Sargeant completely abused his position of trust and power to satisfy his own selfish purposes. He took money to fund an expensive lifestyle, including flying around the world and bank rolling a gambling habit.
